‘Tis the night before Thanksgiving
When all through the house,
Mama is busy spot cleaning
With help from her spouse.
Tom Turkey awaits in the sink,
The pumpkin pies are all baked,
Appetizers tucked tight in the freezer,
And the dining table’s prettily draped.
Ahhh…at last the preparations are done.
Time to relax before the TV,
With a glass of red wine or two,
Because tomorrow we’ll need our energy,
To entertain the whole danged crew.
But seriously.
I adore this time of year,
Love my family and friends.
I’m wishing you a happy holiday,
And a truly blessed year’s end.

Lovely poem! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family, Jolyse! The margarita looks delicious, it looks like Christmas in a glass. 🙂
Thanks, Jill! It was a wonderful holiday. Only thing missing was that Thanksgiving margarita. Maybe I’ll make one next weekend and let you know if it tastes as good as it looks. 🙂
Def need to make that drink! Love your blog
Thanks, Kelli! Good luck in the giveaway and have a wonderful week. 🙂
love your books and now a bonus a drink to go with them. Although with the weather we are having I think a warm drink might be better. Maybe a mocha coffee with a shot of peppermint schnapps.
Mmm, Marea. Love your drink suggestion, too. So holidayish. 🙂
Nice poem, thanks for the recipe and the giveaway chance 🙂
Thanks, Cheryl. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and good luck in this week’s giveaway. 🙂

Great to see you here, Susan! Feel free to explore when you have a moment. Although my website is brand-new, I’ve been blogging about life’s little moments since 2011. The best made the cut and are all here. 🙂
What a nice poem and delicious-looking drink. Thanks for the giveaway!
You’re very welcome, Missy. Sending you a virtual drink of cheer. 🙂
You do such a beautiful job on your blog. I always feel like part of what you write here is directed at me 🙂
I appreciate the feedback, Cindy. Hoping you’re having a wonderful week. Love having you here. 🙂
Now why didn’t I see anyone making this drink over the holidays … sounds like something even I would try. Happy Week!
I agree, Lynda! I definitely want to try this drink between now and Christmas. Maybe I can convince the chef/bartender in the family to make a few for the book signing next week. Hope you enjoy one soon! 🙂
