Book News!

At long last, the snow’s melting, the birds are chirping, and the buds are sprouting. I’m excited about the possibility of relocating my writing office outdoors soon, wrapping myself in the warmth of the sun instead of a cozy blanket by the fireplace.  I’ve been busy tapping away at the keyboard, creating the follow-up novella to A LIGHT IN THE WINDOW. Jeremy Engel’s romance, with a woman he meets on a moonlit beach one summer evening, promises to melt hearts. In other news, my contract with Entangled was finalized this week, and I’m proud to announce I’ll be writing two connected novels for their sexy, contemporary romance imprint, Lovestruck. Stay tuned for details about storylines and release dates! oxo Jolyse

Romantic Winter Reads

On cold, snowy days like this, I enjoy nothing more than sitting in front of our fireplace and reading a good book. In fact, I’ve spent most of January and February split between writing and reading. (So many books, so little time!) As my way of sharing the love of literacy, I’ll be offering readers the chance to win a $20 Amazon gift card on my blog. Be sure to stop by on Monday, MARCH 9, 2014, for all the details. Happy reading!!

Be in the Know…

As 2015 peeks around the corner, I’m excited to be immersed in new projects. I loved writing about the Adirondacks and look forward to revisiting upstate New York in a new story as well as setting another in The Big Apple itself. There will be more entertaining posts, more sweet, sizzling romance for you to read, and of course, more giveaways! To ensure you don’t miss out on all the upcoming announcements in the coming year, be sure to sign up for my spam-free, private newsletter. Happy holidays!

In the Spirit of Giving!

Looking for a new recipe for the holidays? Here’s one of my family’s new favorites, shared with me by a wonderful baker and friend, Jen C.

Pecan Butterballs – Stir together 2 C. flour, 1/2 cup sugar, and 3/4 t. salt. Cream together 2 C. butter, softened and 2 t. vanilla. Mix wet and dry ingredients. Roll dough into 1″ balls and place 3/4″ apart on cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F for approximately 25 minutes. Roll in and store in a container of confectioner’s sugar (1 lb. box). Enjoy!

Christmas in NY Book Event

What a week! On Wednesday, December 10th, my Christmas in New York collaborators, Jeannie Moon, Patty Blount, Jennifer Gracen, and I shared an evening of holiday cheer with a room full of romance readers at the famed Book Revue in Huntington, Long Island NY.

We each read favorite excerpts from our novellas then answered questions from the audience before signing the Christmas in New York anthology as guests enjoyed a variety of sweets and swag.

You may not have been able to join us, but you can still get the Christmas in New York anthology and read all four heartwarming contemporary romance novellas in one beautiful keeper of a book–six hundred pages of four women’s journeys to love and Happily-Ever-After! Wishing you a blessed holiday season.

See this week’s blog for my Book Revue Photo Gallery!

Welcome to the New Site!

I love beginnings. Don’t you?

Nothing quite compares to the scent of a newborn baby, the silkiness of a kitten or puppy, or the thrill of witnessing a young couple’s wedding dance. Perhaps my love of beginnings is what attracts me to romance, both as a reader and writer. I’m fascinated by the unfolding and blossoming of new love, from the meet-cute to exquisite first kiss to the happily-ever-after.

Today is another wonderful start—on my sparkling fresh author site. Welcome and enjoy!
